They’re back and better than ever! Palazzo pants, or wide-leg pants, have come back in rotation in the fashion world and I couldn’t be happier to welcome them! Why wouldn’t I be happy they’re trending again? Palazzo pants are deceptively comfortable, yet chic, and add a bohemian “boho” flare to any outfit. The variety is endless from high-waist, to pleated, even solid color versus patterned! In addition, palazzo pants are suitable for work, casual days, or pair them with a cute top and you’re ready for a night on the town! Palazzo Pants are a great way to supersize your silhouette if you have a petite frame, but curvy ladies can pull this trend as well by wearing a fitted top or wide belt that accentuates your waist.
How to wear palazzo pants is relatively simple. Here are the ground rules:
- If you opt for palazzo pants with a bold pattern, opt for a solid color top and vice versa; the goal is to balance your ensemble
- If you’re petite, opt for palazzo pants with a high waist
- If you’re tall, the hemline of your pants is very important; Make sure your pants aren’t too short
- If you’re curvy, pair your palazzo pants with a fitted top or wide belt to accentuate your waist
- Don’t be afraid to accessorize! Pair your ensemble with a hat, striking jewelry, and/or a seasonal scarf!
- Shoes? They don’t matter. You can pair your palazzo pants with a pair of strappy sandals, wedges, heels, or add a touch of athleisure with casual sneakers.

NOTE: Notice how the length is comparable to my tall stature and how I balanced my outfit with solid pants and a printed top.
