Kente Cloth, (or Akan kente) is the icon of African cultural heritage. Kente Cloth is easily
identified by its dazzling, multicolored patterns of bright colors, geometric shapes, and bold designs. It is an Akan royal and sacred cloth worn only in times of extreme importance and was the cloth of kings. Over time, the use of kente became more widespread. However, its importance has remained and it is held in high esteem with Akans.
Ankara fabrics, (or block prints, as some people call them) are a mainstay of West African fashion. They are bright, bold, graphic and geometric prints that command attention and are widely worn in celebration. Celebrated for centuries, they are suddenly a huge fashion trend and the fabric is slightly more available.
Ankara and Kente Fabrics are special order; they are not kept in inventory. Please allow 3 weeks for processing. No rush orders are available in the following fabrics. Fabric options are available upon inquiry.
